Soma carrying forward traditional textile crafts through innovative designs and colours
In a world where fashion trends flicker and fade with every scroll, Soma Shop stands quietly resilient—timeless, rooted, and true. Born in 1984 in the pink-hued city of Jaipur, ‘Soma’ was envisioned by husband-wife duo- Radhakrishnan Nair and Andrée Pouliot as more than just a design studio. The two had a common dream, to see the ancient art of hand block printing revived, and nurtured back into daily relevance through sensible contemporary expressions.
A name that began small, and intended to assist the local craftspeople, has now become an internationally recognized brand. While Soma has never lost its eyes on the deep heritage of textiles from India, merged with the new age sense of design, it shows uncompromising quality and ethical standards.

From organic cotton kurtas that drape with ease, to block-printed home furnishings oozing comfort and class, each piece is designed with integrity and intention.
Over the years, Soma has quietly dressed and delighted a discerning clientele. A kind of understated luxury that values story over flash, purpose over trend. With five beautiful stores across India—Jaipur, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Hyderabad—and an online store serving customers worldwide, Soma is no longer just a shop; it’s a movement.A space where design uplifts culture, and every print carries the fingerprints of an artisan whose passion, skill, and spirit breathe life into the fabric. More than anything, Soma is a reminder that slow, honest fashion still has a place in this fast-paced world—that it’s possible to wear something beautiful and feel the traditional wisdom, the joy of the hands and hearts that made it.
